A quick note to wish you all the very best of the season. December has been a busy month for me, and most likely for you, too. I’ve opened a new portfolio of paintings titled Small Works where you will find smaller studies in smaller sizes with smaller prices.
Earlier this month I was asked to share my painting process for Southwest Art Magazine’s on-line publication. You can read more about it here: Southwest Art Magazine Karen Burns. It will give you a peek into my small studio as well as process images for this painting titled Fall Persimmons.
I’ve been using the palette knives more and hope to continue with them in the New Year. The knives are razor sharp on both edges so I must be careful to keep my feet out of the way when I drop one! The painting, below, is titled Running on Empty. Don’t let yourself run on empty during the holidays ~ I know there is much to do, but save time for yourself, sharing the days and traditions with loved ones.
All the best from me to you in the coming New Year. I appreciate you very much. Cheers to 2020!
